Violin mutes are great for practicing, especially if you don't want to disturb your housemates or neighbors! We offer Metal (Brass) Practice Mutes, as well as Rubber mutes (like Tourte) and Rubber-coated Metal Practice Violin mutes. The Rubber Ultra Practice Mute will mute the tone the least (we feel it mutes 2/3 of the sound), the rubber-coated a bit more, and the Brass Practice Mutes (available in "Gold" and "Chrome") will mute the most!
