Fiddlershop is proud to provide the highest quality musical instruments and accessories at affordable prices. Our reputation, service and competitive pricing is something that we are very proud of. Most of the products that we carry come with a standard One Year Warranty. We hope that this gives you a complete piece of mind when you are shopping with us.
For many of our products, our warranty terms go beyond a standard one year warranty. For example, most of our in-house brand instruments, and higher end instruments come with a lifetime structural warranty. On certain products, we also offer the option to buy extended warranty services to protect your investment. Please find the list of applicable warranties and their terms below.

45 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
First off, if you’re not satisfied with your purchase, neither are we. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it in its original condition within the return period and we’ll give you a full refund of the full purchase amount. At Fiddlershop we offer a 45-day satisfaction guarantee on all purchases. Please read our full return policy here.
If you receive an item that is broken or has a manufacturer’s defect, we will fix, replace or credit you for the item(s) free of charge. Please call us within 14 days of receiving your item(s) for these claims.
Standard One Year Warranty
Most of the products we carry come with a standard one year warranty. This warranty is valid for one year from the time the item(s) is received and covers defects in components and workmanship. We honor this warranty by repairing, replacing the item at no extra cost. We will cover shipping/handling both ways (excludes international shipments).
This warranty excludes all consequential damages and does not cover damages resulting from accident, misuse, normal wear, and tear or tampering.
**Please note that strings, bow hair, rosin, pads, and other parts or accessories are all subject to normal wear and the warranty is therefore limited.
Extended Warranty Service
Fiddlershop’s extended warranty service provides an enhanced service and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than our standard one year warranty, or warranties offered by other manufacturers. This service is bought together with the product at the time of the sale, or within the first 45 days.
Our extended warranty simply extends the standard one year warranty for additional X years. and begins at the end of the one year warranty. The same coverage, terms, and conditions detailed in the one year warranty still apply.
We offer this service on selected instruments and accessories. Look for the extended warranty information on qualifying products.
Lifetime Structural Warranty
Fiddlershop offers a lifetime structural warranty on many of our in-house brand instruments, as well as select instruments. The lifetime structural warranty covers any problems that may occur with the structure of the instrument itself. It also covers the structure of the fittings. We have yet to see or hear of any other workshop who offers anything similar!
Instruments from the violin family are made using hide glue. Hide glue will unglue with time on every instrument (due to heat and humidity changes). It can be something small like the inner lining, or something big like the bass bar. When these become loose, you may hear a vibrating noise in your instrument, or a loss of projection. It can even be the top or the neck shifting. Either way, we've got you covered! We will fix/repair it for free!
Please keep in mind that the instrument setup is something that needs to be maintained, much like your car needing an oil-change. Fiddlershop guarantees that the setup arrives at your doorstep in perfect condition, but this warranty does not cover maintenance.
If any of the products break due to misuse, this is not covered under our warranty. Fiddlershop will assess each instrument submitted under the structural warranty and make the decision as to whether it's covered or not, according to what defines natural occurring structural damage. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways for any repairs or adjustments needed.
