Holstein Bench violins are handcrafted with precision by one master luthier from our select VSA award-winning workshop. The key identificator of a bench made Holstein violin is the extraordinary workmanship, as well as the quality of materials used in production.
The top is made of the highest quality Italian spruce, and the back from Bosnian maple (100+ year old wood, aged and dried a minimum of 20 years).
Our Holstein Bench violins are made in various replicas and copies of violins, made by the old masters; Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, Amati, and Maggini. The quality and dimensions of the wood, as well as the varnish, are copied from the originals, to achieve the same tonal qualities.
