The Fiddlershop Family
Why is Fiddlershop growing so fast and blowing away its competitors?
Fiddlerman himself tests and curates the violins and violas and works directly with the maker to produce only the best. With over 40 years as a professional violinist of orchestras around the world, he knows what he's doing. We buy our violas directly from the maker - a rare business practice that lowers our cost so we can pass the savings on to you! Each Fiddlerman viola is set up in our workshop.
My son loves his viola. Everything came as described and shipping was fast. Will definitely buy from them again.
Truly one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard. The 15" Soloist Viola has a beautiful tone, and is almost effortless to play. It is stunning, not only in the sound, but is truly beautiful to look at also. I couldn't have asked for a better instrument, especially at this price point. Very happy!
I am delighted with the entire package. Fiddlershop surpasses my expectations every time I order. The case is well-made and tasteful. One would be quite proud to carry it into any rehearsal. The bow has a nice balance and a good weight. The rosin is smooth and dustless, and it is the best I've ever used. Now, for the viola. It is absolutely lovely in every way. Gorgeous to look at. And the sound? Well, it is an instrument one assumes is unaffordable and out of reach. When I play, I cannot believe the exquisite tones. Each note (if my intonation is there) rings and has a luscious vibrancy. The low notes are quietly seductive. The higher notes are true, rich, and full, not tinny or tight. For kicks, when working with harmonics, I play one, then just listen until it disappears before going to the next one. Mesmerizing. I asked my husband, who is an avid reader of Tolkien, to describe this viola, and he stated, "I consider it playful in a Tom Bombadil way. Not a wood elf playful. But a Bombadil." He nailed it. This instrument has become extremely precious to me in a very small amount of time. You simply cannot go wrong with this package. If you are interested in playing viola for any length of time, choose this package. It is well worth every penny.
