Fiddlerman Concert Violin Review
How does the Apprentice compare with the Concert?
How does the Concert compare with the Artist?
What does B-stock mean?
Every now and then we receive an instrument from our workshop with a visual imperfection. The instrument might have a small nick, scratch or a miss-coloration in the varnish. These visual issues do not affect the performance or playability of the instrument. However, we would never put these instruments into our regular inventory.
Just like every other Fiddlerman instrument we sell, this instrument is set up to perfection by our talented luthiers and is covered by our lifetime structural warranty.
We have a limited stock of these instruments. Every instrument has a different imperfection.

I had just purchased a different (cheaper) violin elsewhere. It arrived with the peg box all out of sorts, wires peeling away from the string core, and the chin rest had been smashed into the edge of the violin. Rosin all over the place, clearly it had been dropped or taken quite a beating. I returned it and decided to extend my budget a bit more to get the Fiddlerman Concert Violin. I am SO, SO, SO GLAD I DID. It's like night and day. The care and detail they put into the shipping and packaging alone is a clear indicator that they take pride in their product. Everything is covered and padded to ensure minimal movement and no rubbing. Thank you guys so much for putting that much effort into protecting what is quite an investment for many customers. The violin itself is wonderful - everything works, sounds, and feels great. Perfect for beginner to intermediate. The B-Stock blemishes are very minor and you'd only notice them if you went looking for them. I was skeptical that an instrument as sensitive as a violin could really be ready to play out of the box after being shipped but it was! The extra time they take setting up every violin really shows. I gave Fiddlershop a try after hearing/reading many positive things about them on the internet while I was researching and I must say they deserve every bit of the hype and praise. Thank you guys a million for turning my unpleasant experience into better than I could've imagined. I know exactly where I'll be getting an upgrade when it's time!
I recently purchased the Fiddlerman Concert Violin (B-Stock) and I couldn't be more pleased! It is everything I thought it would be, and more. As a beginner (I hadn't played since elementary school, and let's just say that was several decades ago), I wanted to go from an e-bay purchased school-grade violin to something that I could stick with for several years, and not be discouraged by it's performance as I (hopefully) progress. The Fiddlerman Concert violin fits the bill. Do I sound amazing now? No, but I am at least I'm in tune. This violin outfit made it possible for me to fulfill a years long dream of returning to playing an instrument I absolutely love. It is affordable, has a beautiful sound, tuning is a breeze, and it's a joy to play (even as a beginner I can tell the difference between this violin and the school violin I attempted to learn on). You get a lot for your money, but you don't sacrifice quality in the least, and you'll get it fast and set up properly! Thank you, Fiddlershop, you guys are the best!
Fast shipping, this is b stock? Can't tell if there is a difference, my daughter is delighted!
I was extremely pleased how well it sounded. I definitely recommend anyone who wants to learn the violin to start with either the apprentice or your concert violin. The sound is very smooth no scratch whatsoever. And it will carry you for quite some time before you consider purchasing an advanced violin.
I consider myself a serious beginner. This is my second violin and it plays really well. I have no problem with cosmetic issues but this violin have almost unnoticeable polishing issues and nothing else.
