Wolf Forte Secondo Violin Shoulder Rest for 4/4 and 3/4 size
- Rubber padded
- Ergonomically curved bar
- Height and pitch adjustable with screw-on swiveling legs
- Height adjustable from 1 to 3-1/4"
- Sliding width adjustment on one end
The Wolf Forte has a wide range of adjustment for width, cant, and curve. Just couldn’t get a setup that worked with it.
I need a high shoulder rest for my long neck and protuding collar bone, have tried many, and this is the best I have found for adjustability, stability, and comfort. Better for me than the Bon Musica.
I like this shoulder rest because it allows me to place it closer to the collarbone where I really want my support to fall. I use rubber bands on the legs to prevent it from coming off. The U shape hits just right.
Too much flexing in all directions. They tall height worked ok but I couldn’t get it to stop rocking back and forth. Rubber bands and stuff everywhere. Some like it.
I played with a Wolf Primo when I was a kid. My teacher confiscated it. The Forte Secondo is an experiment to see what works across a variety of instruments for me. I like the flexibility and the different height options. Not so wild about the rubber feet when everyone else has switched to silicon. Rubber gets caught in my hair.
