Carbon Composite Violin Tailpiece with Fine Tuners
This was purchased to replace the original tail piece. The fine tuners on the latter had some sharp edges and were cutting the strings. The new tailpiece was easy to install using positioning guidelines from the internet. It takes about 2 weeks for the nylon attachment cord to finish stretching. After that, tuning seems to last for several days (I'm using the Fiddlerman string set). The fine tuners are set high enough so that complete tightening does not risk damage to the violin surface underneath them. They are position so that the appropriate 1/6 th distance of the nut to bridge distance for the fine tuners to bridge distance is easily set up. The adjustable nylon cables work great and were easy to use. Best of all, my inexpensive student violin actually sounds better with this tailpiece than with the original wood tailpiece. The price is also a real plus.
great people to work with
These tailpieces work great, are light weight, and function well. I've installed several of these and they are consistently good.
Great products and customer service
Decent fine tuner
So far it’s been working great! Really glad the shop was able to assist in recommending a new fine tuner.
Two out of three isn’t too bad?
Ordered three tailpieces, two were great, the third had bad threads on the wire and slips.
