Rondo viola strings work on many different instruments but are particularly popular among soloists who play old violas. The tonal balance of the RO200 set when moving from string to string is exceptionally harmonious. The haptic feeling of the left and right hand is especially smooth, the bow pressure resistance nevertheless very high. Even with little bow pressure, the strings produce a rich sound with compact substance. Due to the high dynamic range and tonal properties, the strings are suitable for chamber music, solo performances and for use in a full orchestra. The light response and playability also makes the set suitable for talents who are just at the start of a successful career.

  • High dynamic range in sound and volume
  • Great power and projection for the audience
  • Excellent bow response
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Rich sound with compact substance

FABULOUS Strings!!

I've been enjoying these strings so much, I forgot to leave a review! All I can say is WOW! Several months playing on these and I'm still amazed how FULL these strings sound! The response is GREAT - and they STAY IN TUNE much better than any other strings I've used! They are everything I could ever want for my 5-string Glasser Viola!

Terrific viola strings!

I've had in my mind what I want for a viola sound and got close with the viola I chose. Then I found a bow that helped even more. Then when I tried these strings, I found, added to the viola and bow, what finally gave me the sound I wanted. They are terrific. They took a bit longer to set in at the beginning but well worth the constant tuning for a couple of days. Now they are always in tune when I'm ready to play, or maybe a small adjustment from time to time. I'm really happy with these strings and plan to get another set for my other viola.
