Teach viola with the popular Suzuki Viola School. The Suzuki Method® of Talent Education is based on Shinichi Suzuki's view that every child is born with ability, and that people are the product of their environment. According to Shinichi Suzuki, a world-renowned violinist and teacher, the greatest joy an adult can know comes from developing a child's potential so he/she can express all that is harmonious and best in human beings. Students are taught using the "mother-tongue" approach. Each series of books for a particular instrument in the Suzuki Method is considered a Suzuki music school, such as the Suzuki Viola School. Suzuki lessons are generally given in a private studio setting with additional group lessons. The student listens to the recordings and works with their Suzuki viola teacher to develop their potential as a musician and as a person. This Suzuki Book & CD for Volume 1 is integral for Suzuki viola lessons. The CD includes recordings by William Preucil, accompanied by Doris Preucil.

Good book

Great customer service from Fiddlershop as always. The book is a good intro to viola, but I think it's not as good as the Suzuki violin books I learned form years ago.

Great Starter Book

This is a great starter book, I have used it before when learning the Cello, if memory servers me correctly. I look forward to getting the rest of these volumes.

Apprentice Viola. Well made, well put together and a great set up. This is my second instrument from fiddlershop and I am well satisfied with both. Quality instruments and knowledgeable sales staff. Buy with confidence. Ramblin’ Bob Dauphin Island Alabama

Good for Beginners

I played through all the songs, and it's helped me remember where to put my fingers. I can play faster now instead of at a slow speed. It's not hard to play at all. In fact, I think it's time I upgrade.
