Cello Sizing Guide

If you have a cello to try, sit at the end of the chair with your feet flat on the floor. Lean the cello at a 45 degree angle against your body. Extend the endpin so that the top of the cello body rests in the center of your chest. The C peg should be slightly behind your left ear. Make sure you can reach both ends of the fingerboard easily. If you don't have an instrument already, see this chart for approximate sizing by age and height.

About the Maker

From the esteemed workshop of Ming Jiang Zhu in Guangzhou, China. Ming Jiang Zhu, a revered modern violin maker, passed away in 2014 but left behind a legacy of excellence. Recognized for their exceptional skills, Zhu earned 21 individual VSA (Violin Society of America) awards (2 gold, 2 silver); the workshop has earned 27 awards in total. Today, the workshop continues to be guided by Ming-Jiang Zhu's devoted student and first cousin, Wei-Xian Zhu, who has been part of the workshop for over three decades and now carries on its legacy.
