The mf | pure hybrid cello (formerly known as 'Evo Line') combines mezzo-forte’s raw carbon fiber acoustic cello with an integrated Cordasonus pickup system, factory-installed during manufacturing in Werther, Germany.

Laid up by hand and cured by vacuum infusion, the raw carbon fiber body is polished to a dark anthracite finish that keeps the full weave visible across its surface. Completely immune to heat, cold, and humidity, it holds its setup through long travel days, so a cello that sits in a van for three hours plays on stage exactly as it did that morning.

The pickup is the Cordasonus system, developed and manufactured by mezzo-forte. It is piezoelectric and built around a specially treated crystal produced by a German ceramics technology company. Mounted directly in the bridge, the sensor measures string pressure at the vibration source, delivering an ultra-wide 10 Hz–80 kHz frequency range with exceptional feedback resistance on loud stages.

Cellists can manually rotate the bridge sensor in 45-degree increments to dial in their amplified tone, from punchy and direct to wide and open, all without batteries or active preamps. Connection is a standard 1/4" jack. Unplugged, the instrument delivers the exact same acoustic resonance and depth as the standard mf | pure cello.
