mezzo-forte core Hybrid Violin
The mf | core hybrid violin (formerly known as 'Design Line') combines mezzo-forte’s fully finished carbon fiber violin with an integrated Cordasonus pickup system, factory-installed during manufacturing in Werther, Germany.
Formed by vacuum infusion, the body undergoes two complete cycles of hand-applied lacquer to create a smooth, deep finish that brings out the shifting carbon weave beneath the light. Immune to temperature and humidity swings, it maintains its exact setup and physical response from workshop to the third night of a tour.
Developed in-house by mezzo-forte, the passive, battery-free Cordasonus system features a specialized German ceramic crystal. Mounted directly in the bridge, the sensor measures string pressure at the primary energy transfer point, delivering an ultra-wide 10 Hz–80 kHz frequency range with exceptional feedback resistance on loud stages.
Violinists can manually rotate the bridge sensor in 45-degree increments to dial in their sound, from punchy and direct to broad and ambient. Because the system is integrated into the build from the start, the unplugged acoustic resonance remains completely uncompromised. The output is a standard 1/4" jack.
