mezzo-forte core Hybrid Cello

The mf | core hybrid cello (formerly known as 'Design Line') combines mezzo-forte’s fully finished carbon fiber cello with an integrated Cordasonus pickup system installed during manufacturing in Werther, Germany.

Vacuum-infused carbon fiber undergoes two full cycles of hand-sanding, lacquering, and polishing. The result is a deep, striking finish that reveals the dynamic carbon weave under the light. Immune to temperature and humidity fluctuations, it handles tour life and transit without warping or needing time to settle.

The pickup is the Cordasonus system. Built around a specialized German ceramic crystal, this passive piezoelectric system requires no battery. Sitting directly in the bridge, the sensor reads vibrations at the energy source. It delivers an ultra-wide 10 Hz–80 kHz frequency range with high feedback resistance on loud stages.

Rotate the bridge sensor in 45-degree increments to shape your tone in seconds, from focused and direct to broad and open. Outputting via a standard 1/4" jack, the integrated pickup preserves the cello's authentic acoustic voice when unplugged.
