Foam Shoulder Rest
Im sure it can be a simple, inexpensive and effective solution for many players, however it was not a good fit for me. I opted to purchase the KUN collapsible shoulder rest from the Fiddler Shopā¦.that thing is awesome. Bob Crow

Mega sponge
Much to big: very thick and bulky. Given up completly on shoulder rests! ššš Maybe this sponge is good for bath sponge or dish washing? š¤

Foam Shoulder Rest.
Very good. I've tried other shoulder rests that I had trouble adjusting to the more narrow lower bout of the Amati and my shoulder angle but the foam has been a good option. It is shaped to use different positions and is comfortable (also clings to fabric of shirt well & not slipping) & soft on back of violin. I don't have to worry that one of the feet on a usual shoulder rest will work off and result in a scarred finish on my new acoustic violin. This has been a good solution to problems I've encountered for two years with my former violin.
