Chinrest Middle

The Fiddlershop was great, but the chinrest was pretty bad. I have never tried a center chinrest before and found it very hard to hold the violin with this chinrest attatched.

Chin rest

This is the 2nd item I've ordered from Fiddlershop, they have been fantastic, the order comes quickly and is just what I wanted for my fiddle! I needed a new chinrest & it's perfect! Will def continue to order from here!

Super comfortable but...

I have been using the Berber center mount chinrest for quite a while as it made playing comfortable until I started learning shifts and then I needed more hook and a little more height so I wasn't raising my shoulder and creating tension in my neck. I bought 7 possibilities to make sure I got it right. This was my most favored choice and, even after I took off my center mounted Berber and saw all the rosin build up in the spaces my cloth can't effectively reach, remained the second runner up to the Struber but in the end, I decided against something that may lead to costly repair. Not saying it necessarily would but I couldn't conciously have this on my violin and not take it off every once and a while to polish the hard to reach spots. Still an excellent and very comfortable choice as well as visually appealing, in my opinion.
