The immaculate FM Weave Oblong Violin Case
When I received my Red Weave case, some time ago, I was shocked at the modern minimalistic case. I had been using CC535 case, which was plush and packed tightly, and heavier too. I put the weave case in it's shipping box, in my closet. Last week I took it out and placed my SCV E750 in it with my Pernambuco Bows, shoulder rest, rosin, extra string set, tuner, mute, extra bridge, Polish cloth, and metronome. Shockingly they all fit in easily. The Violin body gets the most excellent, astounding isolation that I have ever seen in a case, nor imagined possible. And it is even gorgeous too. That CC535 is now setting empty in the closit, and my pride and joy Fiddle has a new weave case as it's perminant home! I absolutely love the case, and cannot imagine why I did not see it at first sight. Mark it up to old age and ignorance, I guess. I highly recommend the. Weave Oblong Case and the Fiddlershop too. I found it a long time ago, and I have continued to use it. They are very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and dependable. All that and their prices are very competitive too. It is on-line easy to do, so do it!
I love this case! You guys thought of everything. My violin is perfectly suspended and safe, and there’s space for four bows. The only thing that’s missing is an integrated humidity meter. I’ve been meaning to make a cut out in my case and glue in a humidity meter so that I can see the values without opening the case. Can’t wait for the other colors to be in stock. I need another three of em! Please let me know when I can expect them to be back in stock
Plenty of storage. Dust wipes right off. The shoulder rest strap is a little short, but not inhibiting. (I also have a very deeply arched Wolf shoulder rest, so that doesn't help lol.) The surface is textured, but labels can be applied easy if needed. A week of hard wear and no peeling.
FC310 weave oblong violin case
I purchased the above references case, in Red. I have a good violin, and a nice Core 525. I thought I should upgrade for an altogether new design. This new case certainly is that, and is very lite too. However I made a big mistake. I prefer the lided pockets of my Core case. The ample storage ot the 3 lided accessory wells has spoiled me rotten, I guess. And, the quality of the Core Case appeals to me more than I comprehended. The Weave case has a shoulder rest strap, that I think is inadeguate, and a future problem. I personally do not take to the removable zippered accessory bag, unfortunately. That weave case is a very nice case, but it doesn't suit me well. I have it, In my closet, empty. At some point I imagine I will either sell it, or give it to a student that needs and likes it. The sales staff at the Fiddlershop Shop were, as always, excellent professionals. This mistake was due to my own faults. When I purchase another case, I will avoid the new plain utility (taxi cab) design in favor of a more plush and precission design., perhaps an older model Gewa case.
