Weave Oblong Case
Purchased this case with my new MJZ909. Very durable feeling, and I felt that my new violin was protected extremely well. One this I dislike is the bow holder, specifically the side where the tip is inserted. I have a couple bows which I store in my case as backups, but there is a gap in between the bow holders where the bow hair falls into sometimes and I have to carefully remove the hair from the gap to get my bow out. So if you store a bow on the top side of the two bow compartments, your bow hair might slip through the partition. Since each bow compartment isn’t fully isolated from the other bows, so the bow hair is going to keep getting stuck if you store the bows upright (bow hair on bottom stick on top). I solved this issue by flipping the bow upside down when storing so the stick is facing the bottom, although I don’t really like the look of bows upside down in a case (LOL) Sorry for the bad explanation:) As always, great customer service from Fiddlershop! Thank you
Very nice case
I needed a second case but didn’t want to spend Gawa case money This Fiddleman weave case is very nice Smaller and lighter weight than my Gewa Nice accessories and my violin fits well inside I would buy again
The immaculate FM Weave Oblong Violin Case
When I received my Red Weave case, some time ago, I was shocked at the modern minimalistic case. I had been using CC535 case, which was plush and packed tightly, and heavier too. I put the weave case in it's shipping box, in my closet. Last week I took it out and placed my SCV E750 in it with my Pernambuco Bows, shoulder rest, rosin, extra string set, tuner, mute, extra bridge, Polish cloth, and metronome. Shockingly they all fit in easily. The Violin body gets the most excellent, astounding isolation that I have ever seen in a case, nor imagined possible. And it is even gorgeous too. That CC535 is now setting empty in the closit, and my pride and joy Fiddle has a new weave case as it's perminant home! I absolutely love the case, and cannot imagine why I did not see it at first sight. Mark it up to old age and ignorance, I guess. I highly recommend the. Weave Oblong Case and the Fiddlershop too. I found it a long time ago, and I have continued to use it. They are very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and dependable. All that and their prices are very competitive too. It is on-line easy to do, so do it!
I love this case! You guys thought of everything. My violin is perfectly suspended and safe, and there’s space for four bows. The only thing that’s missing is an integrated humidity meter. I’ve been meaning to make a cut out in my case and glue in a humidity meter so that I can see the values without opening the case. Can’t wait for the other colors to be in stock. I need another three of em! Please let me know when I can expect them to be back in stock
Plenty of storage. Dust wipes right off. The shoulder rest strap is a little short, but not inhibiting. (I also have a very deeply arched Wolf shoulder rest, so that doesn't help lol.) The surface is textured, but labels can be applied easy if needed. A week of hard wear and no peeling.
