The Fiddlerman OB1 Violin Review
How does the Fiddlerman OB1 compare with the Fiddlerman Apprentice?
The Fiddlerman Orchestra Beginner-1 (or OB1) is one of our top recommendations for beginners on a budget. It is well crafted from aged tonewoods, finished with a beautiful dark brown varnish, set up here in our shop to perfection.
It delivers a surprisingly good sound for an instrument at this price.
- Accurate and clean.
- Sweet and textured sound
- Never screechy or strident
The OB1 is possible because of the combination of great connections and strong buying power! The fact that we can offer a quality violin that will last for years with an advancing level outfit is truly amazing. It's not uncommon to find this level violin for $300-$600 at other violin shops, (and that is without a quality outfit). Each violin is tested and will arrive ready to play out of the box (just tune

all your sales people were a great help. Daughter finally had her first lesson and is doing very well thanks to the already tuned violin and learning aids you have available. A huge thanks to Michael for answering all my questions!
I am a beginner violin player. I am very grateful to find Fiddlershop during my online investigation in the middle of Covid. I was very hesitant of ordering an instrument that I don't know much of and have it delivered to me from miles away. But the reviews were great and the videos they provide for each and every instrument is very helpful. I love my violin, it has a great tone. Great quality and very reasonable price. It comes tuned so you don't have to worry about tuning for the first time. Thank you for what you are doing and I believe it is a great service. Keep up the good work.
We tried a few of Fiddlerman violins. We end up buying the Fiddlerman sololist 1/2 for my son. Fiddlerman OB1 1/8 and Fiddlerman concert 1/4 for my little daugher. Our violin teach said that OB1 seem to have better sound than Apprentice
We bought this for our 7-year-old and the violin sound was really good. Even the teacher noticed the sound difference. The tuning was wonderfully done and we had no problem getting it in tune with just the fine tuners. There was no need to bring it to the music store for any pitch adjustment, unlike the previous violin we had.
Absolutely love it
