Fiddlershop is a hundred percent trustworthy company with great violins and great cellos, excellent service and an absolute hassle free purchasing experience. Period. We bought first a violin and later the Fiddlerman Master cello outfit from Fiddlershop then two pernambuco bows and several other items. Never has there been any problems, and whenever something came up they immediately resolved everything with no questions asked. Plus, every call to FiddlerShop was responded by a very knowledgeable and experienced person who absolutely knew what they were talking about giving great and unbiased advice. Additionally, they provide great learning resources in form of hours and hours of videos and blogs (including for items such as a tuning fork for $5.99!). Please feel free to ask us about our detailed experience.
The Cello is perfect for a beginner, excellent quality, and sound. My main issue is with the bow, after I applied the rosin on it, some strings from the bow came out.
When I decided to upgrade from my Cecilio 100 cello, I was told it was best to try out several before buying. I was a bit hesitant buying one online but the Fiddlershop took all my worries away. From the start the customer service was fantastic! Any questions I called or emailed about were answered quickly. I decided on the Fiddlerman Master Cello Outfit. I waited two weeks but it was worth it. It first went to one their Luthiers where adjustments were made before shipping. Shipping was quick, I got my cello in three days after it left their shop. The difference is huge! The sounds is so rich and deep compared to my beginner cello. Still breaking in the D'Addario Helicore strings. I am very pleased with my master cello. I'm looking at one of their advanced cellos in a few years. Check out their website, alot of their product videos answered my questions. A big thank you to the Fiddlershop.
I am so pleased with the Master Cello Outfit. The case is sturdy and quite attractive. Very plush inside. I prefer wooden bows, but the carbon fiber that came with it is comfortable with good balance. The Fiddlerman rosin is the "go-to" rosin for me. As for the cello. . . Well, I absolutely adore it. Its appearance is quite stunning. The tone is rich and pure, producing the thought: "Ah, that's it." It arrived ready to play, as promised. I like the four tuners, but am very pleased with the additional tail-piece that has only the A. My opinion? Dismiss Hauser's advice and "Buy THIS cello."
When was the last time you made an online or store front purchase that every thing was as good as advertised? Well my experiance was as good or better than advertised!! The cello was extremely well packaged and came in excellent condition, well set up and very closely in tune. I e-mailed back and forth with many questions which Alex always answered very quickly even to the point of having a demo made of the very cello I was interested in and e-mailing it to me. I am very happy so far with the cello and customer service is from my experience very impressive!! I highly recommend this company and their instruments.
