The Fiddlershop Family
Why is Fiddlershop growing so fast and blowing away its competitors?
Fiddlerman himself tests and curates the violins and works directly with the maker to produce only the best. With over 40 years as a professional violinist of orchestras around the world, he knows what he's doing. We buy our violins directly from the maker - a rare business practice that lowers our cost so we can pass the savings on to you! Each Fiddlerman violin is set up in our workshop.
Amazing violin. The sound projection is great. High quality.
I recently purchased the Artist outfit and haven't looked back for a second. This was an upgrade from my $200 student violin and the difference is astounding! Really excellent sound and feel to the instrument and this has by far been the best investment in my music learning journey. With the cheap student violin it was such a struggle to get an ok sound out of it; half my effort was trying to make the instrument work rather than learning technique. Now with the Artist it is almost effortless drawing the music from the strings, bow bouncing is basically gone, long beautiful sweet sounding notes - everything feels and plays even and sound just absolutely beautiful. If you are looking to progress from your first student violin purchase to a proper instrument you can grow with, this is a very good option for your upgrade.
Great! Shipping was on time. Packaging was safe and nicely cushioned. Outfit is amazing! Sound is loud and round. Violin is beautiful and the accessories are great! Will totally recommend Fiddlerman to others.
The Fiddlershop took care of my every need, from rosewood fittings, to the fine tuner on a different tail piece, and changing the bow. I had basically asked for everything, and I was met with a knowledgeable staff and speedy responses. I am more than pleased with my purchase, the violin itself is beautiful, sounds great, and I can tell there was a lot of care that went into setting up this instrument, I'm extremely happy and know this violin will bring me lots of joy for many years
I am an adult beginner on the violin but I have been playing the guitar for decades and some piano as well so I do know a little about music and instruments in general. I knew that I wanted to get something much better than a cheap Ebay or Amazon instrument; something that I could grow with and not want to replace too soon. After a lot of internet research, I decided on the Fiddlerman Artist. So far, I am very happy. It was shipped in its case in a perfectly-sized box with plastic air pillows all around to keep it secure. The bridge was protected with a nicely designed cardboard thingy. For a beginner, the most important thing about a violin is the set-up. My violin included a signed checklist of all of the items that were done. I checked the string height and both the G and E strings were exactly at the recommended height. The bridge was well-fitted to the violin top. The strings needed a little tuning, but this is to be expected. I believe my violin was set up very well. The violin sounds pretty good to me and the carbon fiber bow is nice as well. I can easily hear the open strings resonating for 6-7 seconds after I lift the bow. How can something so small sound so big? There is no question that my violin is far more capable than I am at this point. The case is of good quality, with room for the violin and two bows. Two storage compartments can hold a shoulder rest, rosin, and more. A flat, zippered pocket on top has room for sheet music. So far, I am liking the Fiddlerman wood shoulder rest as well. During my research, I saw a lot of positive comments about Fiddlerman's customer service. For my purchase, they were very responsive to my e-mails and Pierre even made a short YouTube video for me, playing two different violins, so that I could pick the one that I liked better. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and I am really enjoying learning this new instrument.
