Like I added a zero! (please read entire review)

I first decided to try this tailpiece in late March of 2020. I had been researching how to squeeze a bit more sound out of my instruments. Specifically I was going to try this tailpiece on a Ming Jiang Zhu workshop violin that I purchased in 2014. Given the world situation at the time, my practicing was reduced to playing in a very small room with a mute on the my instruments, or the sound would destroy my hearing. Thus, I needed to hold off on adding the tailpiece to this instrument. Fast forward to the end of May. I decided to experiment on a cheap violin ($200) that I recently purchased. First, I was not crazy about the fine tuner built into the tailpiece. It seemed a bit clunky while installing it. (I typically use a Hill-style Titanium fine tuner) Secondly, I was not 100% thrilled that I needed to remove the strings to thread it through the tailpiece; however, that was not to big of an issue, just a small annoyance. Getting ahead of myself, I neglected to mention I was a bit weird with the Kevlar cord needing to tied first with fisherman's knots. I proceeded to a larger room recently claimed to test it out. The result was astonishing! My little $200 violin sung like it was a $2000 violin. Not only did it increase the overall tone of the instrument, but it was much more sensitive to subtleties of dynamics. It even made the higher positions cleaner. Truly I was amazed! I could even play without a mute, though the overall power increase was still apparent. Once I am able to play in a larger environment, without needing to be muted, I plan to change this tailpiece over the instrument to which it was originally intended. I have no doubt that I will see similar results. Despite my misgivings on the second paragraph, it is well work the trivial annoyances. As an added bonus I was given often Kevlar cord to use on another tailpiece.
