Don't know why there are no reviews for this violin yet. I could not be happier with my purchase. The finish is perfect. You can see the tight spacing in the spruce top, the flames in the back made me so proud of this violin. The fittings were perfect. As far as the technical side with the angle of the fingerboard in relation to the height from the belly, perfect. The soundpost was in the perfect spot 3mm just behind the treble side of the bridge) and the bridge height was just right. Not much pressure to apply to fingerboard to play. The projection and tone is amazing for a violin of this price. I love this violin. I do have my eye on the Fiddlerman Master violin but I will keep this one forever. As far as the men behind the counter, you could not ask for more knowledgeable and honest people than Pierre and Mike. Sorry if I'm gushing but, as I said in the beginning, I could not be happier with my violin and Fiddlerman.
My son and the whole family watched him played his new violin for the first time. The sound was truly amazing and we all love it. My son loves playing violin more because he’s truly inspired of how his violin is making sounds so great. It was a memorable experience for him.
The violin is an overall decent violin but it does not follow the product description fully. First off when the violin came in, it had Cecilio brand strings put on instead of D’Addario prelude strings. Second it doesn’t have an ebony finger board like said in the description, it is a brown wood dyed black. Extended playing on the fingerboard will wear off the paint into a sticky black substance and is a **** to clean off. Overall the violin is pretty good and with time the violin warms up to have a really nice tone on the E string. Would recommend buying a Better set of strings when buying this violin tho.
