The "Entertainer" Viola Features

And so, the Entertainer is our answer to a starter viola that anyone can afford! The setup, accessories, and quality of build is far above anything we have tested in this price range. The viola will arrive ready to play right out of the box. Check our viola size guide for proper sizing.

What's that smell?
After opening the case, the smell of the viola's finish was overwhelming. I had to take it outside for a couple of hours. That didn't help much. The viola itself is a "you get what you pay for" instrument, not the best thing to play, but it is, after all, for beginners like myself. The bow had quite a few broken, dangling hairs to contend with after shipment, but not enough to affect play. The neck support is okay, but you'll need another one if you have neck problems. The rubber mute doesn't fit without some finagling, but, once on, it's fine. Finally, this viola is a bear to keep tuned right out of the case, brand new. After a week with it, the strings still need quite a bit of effort to keep them in tune, during play and after sitting. And the sound isn't all that great (I play violin, so I've had a taste of acoustic quality in the past, though I'm no expert.) Truthfully, I wouldn't buy this outfit again. It would be wiser to spend another $100 or so to get something better from Fiddlershop's inventory.
Very Nice Viola. I Love Playing It
The packaging protected the Viola perfectly, and it was ready to play out the box. Such a beautifully made instrument. I am very glad that I purchased my first Viola with Fiddlershop. I can tell that true care went into this instrument and shipping.
16" Tower Entertainer B Stock Viola
I believe these Tower Entertainer violins and violas are the best bargain out there for the money. The play and sound as good as instruments that are four or five times higher in price that I have played. I ordered a "B stock" 16" viola to go along with a first Tower Entertainer instrument I purchased from Fiddlerman last Fall. The viola plays and sounds great, and there is absolutely no detectable flaw anywhere that I can see on it. The set up is perfect -- better than any I have received from any local dealer / luthier I have gone to -- no joking nor exaggerating. Really pleased with this particular viola and with Fiddlerman's service and shipping. I will certainly encourage my jam friends to purchase from the Fiddlerman shop.
Fiddlershop is a small family-owned business located in South Florida. Since 2012 we have been serving the string community with quality instruments and accessories. We believe that music and instruments should be accessible to everyone at a price they can afford.
