Love my D’Addario Kaplan Amo Violin Strings

The D’Addario Kaplan Amo strings came on my Fiddlerman Concert Deluxe Violin. I absolutely love them. They have a terrific sound on this violin. They project well. They bow nicely. The E string in this set is lovely. As always, purchasing through Fiddlershop was simple, and very friendly. I am including the link to make sure you know which strings I am talking about. On other sites, often the review is not even about the product on the page you are looking at. https://fiddlershop.com/collections/violin-strings-daddario/products/d-addario-kaplan-amo-violin-string-set

Powerful and Warm

Just put these strings on my fiddle along with a set of Perfection pegs and Harp style tailpiece. I have a fairly bright sounding fiddle that I wanted to warm up a bit. These strings did the trick. I play mostly Old Time, Bluegrass and Celtic music and these work just fine. Powerful and warm. I even like the "E" string. It fits nicely with the rest of the set. It does whistle a little if you get a little sloppy but it keeps you on your toes. I would recommend these string to anyone who might like to warm up their fiddle's tone.

Kaplan Amo violin strings

I’ve used Kaplan Amo strings for a couple of years. They are warm and transmit a warm sound. Have tried other strings and my violin doesn’t sound as nice.

Love these Kaplan strings!

I have been using D'Addario Kaplan strings on my viola for years, and just recently tried out the violin version. I've been restoring an old Stainer violin, and put cheaper D'addario strings on first, but these gave this instrument a far improved sound. Now I have a very nice sounding 'vintage' instrument that cost me about $200!!

Beautiful strings

I play jazz, blues, Celtic, and old-timey. My teacher, Julie Lyonn Lieberman, turned me on to these strings years ago. I have them on my 1795 Galliano Italian violin and my much more modern Slovakian. The strings pull all of the sounds from both instruments in a beautiful, warm, and responsive tone. The only downside to these strings is their life. I'm lucky to get 4 months out of them, playing every day. The high cost and short life are the trade-offs for an amazing sound.
