Why is Fiddlershop growing so fast and blowing away its competitors?
Fiddlerman himself tests and curates the violins and works directly with the maker to produce only the best. With over 40 years as a professional violinist of orchestras around the world, he knows what he's doing. We buy our violins directly from the maker - a rare business practice that lowers our cost so we can pass the savings on to you!
Tower Strings Warranty
All Tower Strings instrument outfits come with a standard one year warranty on both the instrument itself, and the included accessories. To learn more about our standard warranty, you can read more about it here.
My daughter is a true beginner, and this outfit (1/2 size) suits what she needed to get started.
My E string refused to tune and popped off the first day I received it. Once I got a new string everything pretty much went smoothly. It's a good violin! :)
The violin is beautiful. I was expecting to see the cardboard string protector but was so pleasantly surprised for it to be gently cushioned, yes cushioned, by a soft squishy material. So I had no worries about the safety of the strings. There was only 1 thing I would barely even complain about. The rosin was broke. However, I was still able to use it so; it is what it is. I’m just happy to have this violin and I appreciate the care the team took to make sure it got to me safe and sound. A broken rosin is nothing compared to the feeling of holding the actual violin. I am literally a beginner and it sounds beautiful. Once I am over my beginner shrieks I’m sure it will sound even better. Thank you again. I would like to add they kept me notified every step of the way so there was no “why is it taking so long” or the usual anxious buyer feelings I get ordering stuff from Amazon. (Which is why I will never buy another violin from them... ever...like... ever, ever) This shop will be my only go to. The prices for the beginner violins aren’t an arm and leg and the sound is (in my opinion) very good.
The violin itself is great. The bridge is as advertised; well rounded and easily playable. In it's price range, I honestly don't think you can beat it. Some caveats, that certainly don't diminish the violin considering it's price range, are the bow and strings (at least the E string). The frog on my bow is very wobbly, and the screw seemed to loosen itself after an hour or so of playing. The E string is a little screechy, even with delicate pressure, playing toward the fingerboard, and on the edge of the hair, but again I don't feel it diminishes the value of the outfit overall. The G can also get a little wheezy, but that's not a big deal - I give it 5 stars, after all! If you're considering buying this violin and want the optimal experience with it right away, consider upgrading the E string before they set it up and order yourself a Fiddlerman Carbon bow. It arrived safely, and was nearly in tune already. Customer service was great at helping me figure out when it would arrive too, as I ordered and recieved it in April at the height of quarantine. When I upgrade at the end of the year, I'll absolutely be buying from Fiddlershop again.
My Violin came in today in perfect condition. I appreciate the effort put into putting this whole instrument together, from the packaging to the violin itself. It came ready to be played, and well worth the money spent. If you're a beginner like myself and looking to take the leap, get this violin. You won't be disappointed.
