Founded in Guangzhou, China, the workshop of the late Ming Jiang Zhu represents a pinnacle of modern luthiery. Revered as one of the finest violin makers of his era, Zhu earned 21 individual Violin Society of America (VSA) awards (including two gold and two silver medals), building a world-class reputation that earned the workshop 27 VSA honors in total.

Today, the workshop's tradition of excellence continues under the leadership of Wei-Xian Zhu, a devoted student and first cousin of Ming-Jiang Zhu, who has spent over three decades preserving and expanding the master’s legacy. Together, the artisans of the Ming Jiang Zhu workshop produce world-class instruments renowned for their exceptional playability, beautiful aesthetics, and rich tonal character rivaling fine European and classic Italian makers, all at an exceptional value.
