Good grip

Nice grip, but not too sticky. Doesn’t seem to leave a lot of residue. I will buy again when needed.

Excellent Rosin

I received my order quickly and I am very pleased with the Holstein Reserve Rosin. The rosin itself is a nice dark color and I could tell right away that it was gripping my strings better than the Jade rosin I have been using for years. I love the generously sized soft cloth and bag that it stores in. The disc is a good size too, not stingy at all. Thank you for this good product.

Great in every aspect

This rosin is definitely very good - but not amazing, at least not on my cello. It does everything you could want a rosin to do very well, it has a nice warm sound, low dust, a smooth feel and solid grip, and overall an ease of use that gives you a clear connection between your bow and your strings. However, it does not achieve the same resonance and elegant sound of some other rosins (yumba, leatherwood, Cecilia), so if you are looking for a sound that really sets you apart maybe look for something else. That being said, I would recommend it to anyone that wants a reliable and versatile rosin, beginner or expert.

Good for Lookin, Good for Playin

Decided to try something different with my new bow so got some Holstein Reserve. Spent two days just looking at the sunlight refract through it. Deep, lustrous, very pretty. It was a shame to score it for the bow hair. Seems to play well too! Softer than the dark resin that came with the outfit, less dust, but not none (we need some dust to play, right?) Grips quite well and consider it a worthwhile improvement. Will get another cake when this runs out.

Por fin una resina que cumple con todas mis espectativas como violinista profesional, se ajusta y produce un hermoso sonido y no deja casi residuos, el precio es elevado pero hasta ahora vale la pena.
