What does B-stock mean?
Every now and then we receive an instrument from our workshop with a visual imperfection. The instrument might have a small nick, scratch or a miss-coloration in the varnish. These visual issues do not affect the performance or playability of the instrument. However, we would never put these instruments into our regular inventory.
Just like every other Fiddlerman instrument we sell, this instrument is set up to perfection by our talented luthiers and is covered by our lifetime structural warranty.
We have a limited stock of these instruments. Every instrument has a different imperfection.
Fiddlerman Concert Violin Outfit
The Fiddlerman Concert Deluxe is simply a Fiddlerman Concert Violin on steroids! The upgraded boxwood fittings, together with a professional bridge and upgraded strings make this fantastic instrument reach its full potential.
The violin is constructed from hand-carved, beautifully figured spruce and maple tonewoods that has been aged for a minimum of 6 years. It's set up and tested by our professional luthiers in our Florida workshop and comes with a lifetime structural warranty and free lifetime adjustments.
You'll enjoy the same big, deep and focused qualities from the standard concert, just turned up to 11 delivering unbridled power and deeper levels of tone to explore.

United StatesI ordered a B-stock concert deluxe and am very happy with it! There are a few small imperfections on it (which is why I was b-stock) but unless you’re actively looking for them you don’t even notice that they’re there. My first impression upon opening up the package is that this violin is beautiful, it looks like something you would display on the wall. Not only does it look good but it sounds great as well. I had lessons for 2 years as a young child but hadn’t touched a violin for almost 20 since. I’m a little rusty so I can’t do anything outstanding with it yet but it is easy to play, easy to tune (no peg slippage here) and I’m able to progress with it quickly. I was impressed with the quality of it for the price I paid, I couldn’t be happier with it! Part two of my review is customer service. Fiddlershop was able to answer my questions, since it’s been so long since I played I asked if it was possible to add 3 fine tuners and they did so free of charge. Once I’m more accomplished and comfortable I can have them taken off but in the meanwhile I’m glad to have them there. The violin was very securely packaged. Foam protecting bridge from collapsing, the whole case in a plastic bag protecting it from moisture, etc. Next time I buy an instrument it’ll definitely be from fiddlershop. Highly recommended.

I can tell you I am truly pleased with the quality and beauty of this instrument (still have no clue where the "blemish" is, LOL) I have been wanting a new violin for some years now, studied as a teen/young adult but life happened. I am picking up where I left off some 20yrs later. So much better than the "cigar box" violin, as my old teacher called them. My purchase process was strictly online. The comparison videos helped me pick the tone I was looking for in an instrument. B-stock allowed me to purchase a higher end product that was within my budget, with extra bells and whistles. Even the packaging made me feel special: nice dust bag, care to ensure the instrument stayed in tune, and personalized check sheet from my packager/luthier who tested/tuned and packed everything. IndiaThe violin is very nice and well made. It has a dark colored varnish which suits well with the boxwood fittings. The little defects on the outside were almost negligible. Its sound is very different from my previous violin. The sound is very warm and pleasant. Moreover, this single instrument has enough loud sound to reach nicely to the ends of a big hall. The accessories that come with this outfit are all very nice. I did like the upgrade made to my rosin. (It was converted to the Holstein Premium Rosin) I highly recommend this violin outfit.
