Il Cannone Medium & Soloist – The Full-Bodied Original
Il Cannone strings are offered in two varieties: Medium and Soloist. By comparison, the Medium has a moderate tension, it is more noble and round, and often open up the instrument sound.
The Soloist version has a higher tension, and brings a fuller tone, with even more power, presence and focus with more resistance to the bow. Your choice of version depends on your instrument and style of play.
Il Cannone Direct & Focused – The Most Versatile Option
The Direct & Focused version aim to offer new posibilites to optimise the instrument in sound and playability. In comparison to the "Original" Larsen Il Cannone violin strings, Direct & Focused strings are clearer, more clean and bright, and more direct sounding.
The original Il Cannone strings have in comparison a warmer and darker sound. From a playability perspective, the Direct & Focused sets offer some more resistance to bow and fingers.
The Larsen Il Cannone 0.28 is an extra strong (High Tension) E String, which is wonderfully powerful and enhances the whole instrument's sound, making it more dense and increasing focus.
