Pre-owned Holstein Premium Bench Kreisler Violin With Geared Pegs

This instrument came back to us as a trade-in, with only a few small varnish imperfections that have been fixed. This violin has been fitted with Perfection Planetary Geared Pegs, and has matching ebony chinrest and tailpiece. A unique version of our Premium Bench Kreisler, this one has a great sound!

Made in one of our award-winning workshops, this Holstein violin is inspired by the original Guarneri 'Del Gesù' 'Kreisler' (Cremona, c. 1730). This instrument is bench made, which means that it was made individually by one of our master luthiers from start to finish.

The Holstein 'Kreisler' is a replica of Guarneri del Gesù’s masterpiece made in 1730. The original violin was played by the great violinist Fritz Kreisler as his primary concert instrument. The “Kreisler” 1730 had long been regarded as among the finest works of Guarneri's early years.
