Made in Germany, this carbon fiber violin by Mezzo-Forte is designed and produced using state-of-the-art-technology. This futuristic vision produces a quality of sound easily comparable to that of a wooden instrument, while offering a far greater presence, projection and ease of playing.

Pegs: Wittner finetune pegs
Bass Bar: Carbon and bonded to the instrument. It gives warmth to the lower strings and helps stabilize the top.
Bridge: Hand-carved Despiau bridge
Strings: Pirastro Tonica or Maker's choice.

About Mezzo-Forte violins:
The Mezzo-Forte design concept is to develop instruments for the 21st Century. Any measurements used in traditional violin making have been transferred in order to help the player feel immediately familiar with the instrument. Therefore switching between wood and Carbon Fiber should not be a problem.
From the beginning to the end, all instruments are made in Mezzo-Forte's workshop in Germany, and they set a high value on quality and making fantastic instruments.
All Mezzo-Forte instruments come with a certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number which makes them easy to identify.
This violin was my breakthrough in the infinite world of violins. It’s super light, and you get brag about how you are moving toward the state of the art technology with a great price. Absolutely recommend to anyone who is searching for a sound. This violin sounds extremely warm and deep and man just writing this comment made me feel like I should go pick it up and start playing.
I live in the high Rockeys and not only solved my problem with wooden instruments always needing a setup or repair but also found the best sounding violin I’ve ever played it’s the same all the time inside and out i will never go back in fact it’s the only violin I play for everything
I adore this violin. Purchased it with the intent of using it at outdoor events such as Renaissance Faires where the weather conditions can be less than perfect. The Evo is louder than a standard wooden acoustic which is also great for outdoor performances. The only hard part about this purchase was waiting for the Fed-Ex delivery truck to hurry up and get here on delivery day. It was well worth the wait!
I absolutely love this violin. She rings so beautifully. I can take her to my cabin…with wood stove heat and misty rain outside…she plays like a champ. I have fingerless gloves and dearly love to play for short periods of time in the quiet of the forest snowfall. I am so looking forward to winter with this violin.
I love playing this violin! I am so happy that I took a chance on the Mezzo-Forte Carbon Fiber Evo LIne Violin. It sounds great. It is very light especially when compared to less expensive carbon fiber violins. The chin rest is fine for me and it is easy to play. With the exteme temperatures and weather in this area, I don't have to worry so much about keeping the violin safe. I highly recommend trying it yourself. It is worth the money. Happy in Vermont!
