This is an exceptional replica of the original Guarneri Lord Wilton. It was named after Seymour Egerton, 4th Earl of Wilton, a musician, associate of Arthur Sullivan, and 19th century owner of the instrument. The violin was made famous by the celebrated violinist Yehudi Menuhin from 1978 to 1999.
Violins in this price range are typically made in larger assembly lines to reduce cost. Our workshop models however, are crafted entirely by the master luthier and a highly skilled assistant luthier.

First Violin ... satisfied customer
Buying your first violin as a complete beginner is daunting at best. Should I visit my local violin shop? Pretend the high pitched squeals were part of the plan? No. I wanted to buy Anonymous with confidence... I found fiddler shop and after a few months, decided to buy this "Lord Wilton" violin. As this is my first violin I have nothing to compare it to sound wise, but after a few months of learning, I can tell you with almost complete confidence that I am very happy with this purchase. I upgraded the strings to pirastro evah pirazzi gold and bought a Kun Bravo chin rest. This instrument was not built by a person just trying to get through the day. An obvious amount of love and knowledge went into its construction. I believe fiddler shop is the perfect place for a first time violin buyer. Hands down.
