I just bought

I just bought the 16.5 viola from fiddlershop. I got to say Im impressed with the sound and its not a bad looking instrument for the money. Didnt care much for the bow but I figure I bought the Viola, not the bow. with a nice set of strings I think this will be an awesome viola.

Wow i play

Wow i play viola and my mom bought me a cheap one because we were rebting freshman year. It was $250 but this viola . beats it in every way. The one is deep and rich and its a beautiful instrumentThe srings are low quality but it still sounds greal. Pitch $20 for a set of decent dtrings and youre set. A local violin shop offers $800 violas- $1000 violas and everone in my section has one but mine has the nicest tone quality by far. I would pay $700 for this! Im writing this because its worth it if youre on the fence its not too good to be true!

I had not

I had not played since 9th grade, now at 62 I was ready to start again. I purchased a cheap black viola for $62.00 and it was fine for my own entertainment. Then I came across a sweet deal on a brand new CVA 400 and couldn't resist. When I played one open string, I actually began to tear up; the tone was soooooo rich. I practice every day at least twice/day and I will be playing a viola solo at church for Christmas Music Concert. Very pleased with this viola.
