This is my first carbon fiber bow and I can honestly say that it performs as well as any wood bow that I have had the experience of playing. The quality appears to be excellent, especially at the price point of this bow. I called with questions and was given honest answers. I will definitely deal with this company in the future.
I bought one of these bows a few months ago for a backup bow. It's very nice! Not quite as nice as my main bow, a pernambuco job I bought 20 years ago for 550$. You have to pay a bit more attention to it to get it do what you want it to do, but in all other respects it's as good. I suspect if I used it as my main bow, it would be just as easy to use as the one I'm familiar with. One of the reviewers mentioned a "bobble" in the mid-stroke. I haven't felt anything like that. This is our second bow having worked through the hairs on the first. While it might not be a $600 or a $1,000 bow it takes the daily abuse of a 12 yo and consistently provides good sound and response. My plan is to keep him with these through high school and at the cost of a rehairing it makes good sense as a supportive parent.
Fast shipping and packaged well. I have only had this bow for a few days now and it is noticeably better sounding and easier to play than my student bow. I was reluctant at first to not buy a wooden bow but wanted to "step up" a bit and i am glad i did.
