Aluminum wound e violin

I prefer wound e strings for fingering and bowing ease, with that little extra thickness, and have found the Thomastik rope core aluminum wound e string to fit well with both Zyex and Warchal Amber strings on this violin I made, which is on the brighter side with great projection. I love the tone of the Warchal amber e, but find it a little less easy to play and bow well. The Thomastik rope core fits the bill and has great tone on this violin. The Helicore aluminum wound e is great as well, but is a little brighter than the rope core. In comparison, I find the Thomastik Spirocore aluminum wound e to be softer in tone than the Helicore and the Super Flexible rope core.
