Jade rosin for Violin, Viola, & Cello.

Jade has long been the rosin of choice for professionals and advancing students. It's high performance grip regardless of the seasons or conditions and low dust makes it one of our favorite rosins.

Jade is also the go-to choice for players looking for a Hypo-Allergenic rosin, as it is made without pine resin. The near absence of dust is great if you have allergic sensitivities to pine dust.

Each rosin is mounted on a protective velvet cloth wrap and comes with a protective container.

I am a beginner and don't have alot of experience with rosin, but I've been using this rosin for my Cecilo CVN500 and has been awesome. I bought Pirastro Gold at one point and the Jade sounded and felt way better to me, but that is probably more of a personal preference.

My ex-violin teacher gave me this rosin which his baby brother bought for him. I've never had a better rosin, even over the Holstein rosin (no offense to the makers). I have a pine rosin sensitivity, but the Jade doesn't activate it at all. I would recommend it to anyone. Professionals or beginners.

Very cheap and brittle sound

I have 12 violins and have tried maybe 20 different rosins with various string types. I ordered Jade because of Michael's good review, thinking maybe it was an reasonable substitute for Pirastro Oliv/Evah which is more expensive. It is nothing like it. Jade is worse than $1 rosin, at least as far as sound, on typical synthetic strings (using Pirastro Tonica for evaluation). I think the attraction of it must be the hypoallergenic aspect. I admit I've tried a few of these (e.g. Clarity rosin) and they all give really terrible sound. I am only mildly allergic, so I won't sacrifice the sound. If you want to play the violin and cannot handle the pine rosin, well, I'm still checking, but nothing so far really works.

Jade Rosin in Colorado

I am very pleased with this rosin it grips well with just two strokes on my bow. I enjoy the tone it provides! I tend to have a little sensitivity to other rosins I have tried, Salchow, Holstein, Deaddario Dark, which I like the tone but they bother my eyes and nasal passages. Jade does not bother me. I will probably be a Jade rosin user for life!

Jade & Stentor II

The Jade rosin works fine, seems to.hold up better than the other rosin I've tried.
