Solid case with everything you will need at a great price

I recently came into owner ship with a antique French violin and needed to find a nice case for it. I knew fiddlershop is well know for its customer service and great products so I decided to turn here. I am glad I did! A very elegant and strong case that will protect your violin and accessories for some time. It has a front pocket for music books, a tube for extra strings, two inner compartments, and a violin blanket. A wonderful experience all and all.

The violin case fits the needs of my daughter, She loves it!

Breaks Bow Hairs

The case is large and looks nice, but the quality is poor. The compartment where the bows sit is very rough. If you are not extremely careful, you can break hairs when you take out a bow. If I had more money, I would definitely buy a better case. Since I don't, I have had to pull out the flap over the ends of the bows and smooth out rough places with cardboard and soft material. I now use the flap, which is still hinged, like a door. I open it before I take out a bow, no more broken hairs.

Great Case for the Price

"You get what you pay for." It's not a bad case, and it does the job nicely. My only complaint is the shoulder rest pocket is not long enough to fit my rest into. Each time I put my violin away in the case I have to take apart my shoulder rest. And even then, it is a tight fit. If the company could make the case just ever so slightly wider, it would solve the problem. Other than that, I really do like the case.

Decent product for price

I bought this case for an old violin I found at an estate sale for $45. Incidentally, the violin was in fairly good condition and is still playable, so I restrung it and bought this case for it. I couldn't really justify spending a ton of money on a wood case for a violin that cost me next to nothing. So although its certainly not the quality of some of the high-end cases, this one checks all the boxes and I am pleased with it (roomy, functional, lightweight, good quality for price)
