D'addario prelude strings for violin
Excellent strings at a great price. Fairly soft to the touch compared to strings like HELICORE. Not as metallic sounding as HELICORE, but subdued and warm. I am a classical, crossover violinist, playing the BRIDGE electric violin, 4 or 5 strings. Pleased.

These are the strings that came installed on my OB-1 and I really liked the sound. I am a novice fiddler and have never played on very expensive strings, but I have trusted D'Addario for many years for my acoustic guitar strings.

As a teacher and an amateur violinist, I am always hunting to improve things for my students and myself. For my middle school students I always recommend D' Addario Prelude strings for their instruments. Having recently purchased an older violin, German late 1800 or so, I wasn't certain what string to try on it. I detest the brightness of Dominate strings, so trying Preludes on this instrument was the best choice in my mind. I am highly satisfied with the results. Thank you so much for a great product and an excellent shop!
