$500 Fiddlershop Music Scholarship

Fiddlershop is proud to support string players of any skill level and playing ability. For our inaugural scholarship, we will be awarding $500 to  one lucky student passionate about music. The awardee will be chosen based on his or her response to the following question:

 

What does playing the violin mean to you?

 

Scholarship Award: $500 cash award. Winner may also opt for a Holstein Traditional Panette Violin (worth $1600) instead.

 

Deadline date: December 1, 2017. The winner will be announced on December 15, 2017.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must play the violin
  • Must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in any accredited U.S. university, college or school

 

How to Apply:

  • Write an essay answering the following question: What does playing the violin mean to you?
  • Submit your essay to Scholarship@Fiddlershop.com as a Microsoft word file attachment before December 1, 2017
  • Only 1 submission per person
  • Email must include: Full Name, Address, Phone, School Name, GPA, Date of Birth, & Parent/Guardian Name (if under 18)

 

The winner will be announced on this page and through email on December 15, 2017. The winner will have 48 hours to respond before another awardee will be chosen.

I have a question, is this only open to violin players? I play the viola, and I am wondering if this is only open to violin players. (I play both but my main instrument is the viola.) Thank you!
