An excellent choice for beginners, Wood bows generally produce a warmer tone than carbon fiber bows in the same price range.

These bows give violinists a comfortable playing experience, with the beautiful features of a much more expensive bow.

Since the cost of rehairing a bow is almost twice the price of this bow, you could get a brand new bow every few months and still be saving money.

Full Size Only

  • Octagonal Brazilwood bow
  • High-grade ebony frog
  • Fully lined with nickel mount
  • Mother of pearl eye and slide underneath.
  • The comfortable grip is made from imitation leather
  • Imitation whalebone wrappings.

I gave it a try...

I'm a beginner, having said that I gave this bow a try. I actually started with the Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber bow and it was really great - but my teacher pointed out that my finger strength wasn't that good yet and that I'd need a lighter bow to start. She recommended I try a wood bow. So here we are. This bow is amazing. Its well balanced and really light. I noticed an improvement after switching - I wasn't as tense as I had been and my sound got a little better. I really hope it comes back in stock because this has completely replaced the carbon fiber bow (for now) and Id like to get a back up bow. I know that bows are usually really expensive and for the most part there is a reason for that. But you cannot go wrong with this bow. Don't let the low price fool you, its really great quality!

I got this

I got this bow as a "backup" bow to the Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber bow that came with my Master Violin outfit. It actually has a very sweet sound! It sounds nice and clear on slower types of music. It may be a "cheap" bow, but I find myself drawn to it quite often when I want a little different sound than the Carbon Fiber Bow. I use it when I am playing hymns or some slower classical pieces. It is a little softer of a sound than the other bow.
