I’m absolutely in love with my new violin!! I’ll start by saying how great the Fiddlershop is in general, very nice and genuine people who didn’t mind answering my annoying questions. Great customer service, thank you. The case- I was actually quite surprised with this case! Not one but two compartments on the inside, and 4 bow slots. It also features a string holder and a little bottle to put some water in and keep the case perfectly humid. Overall the case is very pretty, with nice embellishments that give it character. It is very sturdy, I wouldn’t have to think twice about traveling with it. Finally, it has a huge full size pocket on the outside of the case. The accessories- really nice rosin, Premium Holstein. It works great. The outfit also includes a practice mute (which I was very happy about). One thing not mentioned on the website is the name tag. There is a really nice name tag and chain that you can hook to the case. There is also I nice wooden chin rest included. The bow- A very nicely weighted bow. I wasn’t so sure about it at first, but after rosining it and breaking it in a little, it’s now my favorite bow. The violin- Holy ****, I love this violin. Amazing projection (much louder then my other violin) and a really focused and clear sound. I’m still breaking in the strings, but I already like them. The varnish on this violin is absolutely gorgeous, especially with the one piece back. If I could add pictures to reviews, I would. I’m pretty young (I’m only a freshman in high school) but I think this violin is going to last me a long time and be able to carry through harder techniques and pieces. I’m looking forward to playing it through the next couple years, and I am taking it to Carnegie Hall next year. Thank you Fiddlershop!!!
Great! I did have to reposition the sound post that was positioned at an angle of about 15-degrees from vertical but it now sounds very open and warm. Thank you for a great product.
This purchase was the beginning of a new challenge for me. 48 years old, always wanting to do it, just never ready to take the chance. I knew little of the violin so purchasing one was very intimidating. You’re YouTube reviews, along with reviews from Alison Sparrow sold me on the Fiddlerman Master. It arrived within a couple of weeks, ready to play. I am very pleased with everything... good quality., beautiful instrument., thank you!
I spent a couple of weeks watching reviews of the Fiddlerman violins and I decided to go with the Fiddlerman Master since it sounded really beautiful and matched my budget. The customer service was amazing, they went above and beyond and sent me a second video since I couldn't decide which violin I liked the most and they made sure I was satisfied with my purchase. When I received the violin it was really beautiful and the harmonics sounded quite brilliant and resonant, it seriously impressed me. The instrument has opened a lot since then and I am enjoying a lot its sound. The violin is very comfortable to play and it's easy to tune. I love the accessories as well. It makes me want to practice more each day! When I decide to upgrade again I will make sure to go with Fiddlerman! :D Thanks so much!
I am one very happy bunny! The people at Fiddlerman really know their onions! As others have said.. I emailed for a while with lots of questions that were all answered patiently and fully. Thank you. An experienced violinist friend told me to buy the best violin you can afford so I stretched to this when it was on offer and I am delighted. My teacher is really very impressed with the violin itself and the ten point set up as well as all the extras included with it - The bow is great she tells me, the rosin - it is a small thing but being magnetic really appeals to me, the strings are excellent and the practice mute means my neighbours might still talk to me. I haven't quite worked out how to use the temperature thing and the small humidity water bottle in the case yet but will get to it. I have only had a few lessons, being a beginner (and I am 53!) but I am loving it. It is so good to be learning. I am in the UK so had to pay import costs. It was about £170 but as someone on here had said it would be £300 I was pleasantly surprised by that. I am really enjoying the Fiddlerman videos and info as well. Thank you.
