B-Stock Fiddlerman OB1 Violin Outfit

Words cannot express how happy I am with this purchase, but I'll give it a shot. I have wanted to learn to play violin for decades but I always figured it would be way too expensive to get started. Then a friend of mine that plays recommended this site to me and I saw that there were very affordable ways to get started. I decided to take the plunge and I could not have been happier with the decision. The package came with everything you need to get started and the Fiddlerman site has tons of videos and sheet music you can use to guide you. I've been practicing between a half hour and an hour every day for the last four weeks and I've progressed from never having held a violin to being able to play several of my favorite movie themes and basic rock tunes. Having started down the road to becoming a musician, even though I'm in my 40s, has changed how I listen to and perceive music. I think about how I could try to play things and can better appreciate the difficulty in what I'm hearing. I have always loved music and learning how to play it myself has deepened that love more than I would have thought possible. My deepest thanks to the Fiddlershop for helping me get started down this road that I look forward to traveling for many years to come.

I just wanted to say thank you. I was surprised at the quality of the case when I first took it out of the box as I knew it was essentially a student violin. As a saxophone player for many years, I know what type of cases there are out there. For the overall price paid, it was far better than I was expecting. The violin looks great and plays great. It was really nice that it was tuned by you before shipping. This is a good quality violin for an adult beginner. This was listed as B-stock because of some stain imperfections, but that doesn't affect the sound in the slightest.

This is a beautiful instrument. The sound is deep and authentic. The case is great and includes everything you could need. Great customer service , you won’t be disappointed.

I bought this to replace my Grandad's violin. His was playable but the measurements were not to standard. I didn't want to spend a ton because I am just a beginner, but I also wanted to get a good quality. I am not disappointed!!!! The only reason I knew it was a 'B-Stock' violin was because I knew that was what I ordered. It took forever going over the violin with a fine tooth comb to find 1 barely perceptible flaw. And as for what comes with it.....WOW! Quality! Now on the how it plays. It is amazing the feel of this violin. All I had to do was tune it, rosin the bow, and it was ready to play. It sounds amazing! I will definitely be doing all of my violin purchases through Fiddlershop. Thank you so much for offering a great quality violin that us newbies can afford to get started on, that will last for a long time!

I've wanted to learn the violin since I was a teen and first heard an electric violin played on PBS. it sounded so much like an electric guitar; I fell in love! I decided to learn the acoustic violin first, but I held back on doing so though because the warnings I heard from people on how difficult it was to learn to play spooked me. Now 37 and I decided enough was a enough, now or never! This is a lovely violin! Once I got it tuned up she sang like a bird...well as much singing in my newbie hands it sang that is. I can't wait to start learning, and honestly, I looked for the imperfection that put it in B stock and could only find two small stain lines on the front. Nothing else. I searched for more but just found those. Still beautiful! The case is so well made I don't worry one bit about it's safety. Everything is such high quality ! Finding the Fiddler shop made finding the right starter violin easy for me. But what stuck out was how they reached out to me, without me doing so first, because it was taking longer then normal for my violin to ship. They all have to work remotely right now and that was making the process of set up take longer. They just wanted me to know it would ship soon. It did the next day and arrived at my house 3 days later. They could have just let me sit wondering but instead emailed to let me know what was going on. Good people, I will be buying from them again.
