Just like anywhere else online, when you order a Cecilio instrument, it ships directly from Cecilio's warehouse. Fiddlershop doesn't do any setup work to them.
Customers in Alaska and Hawaii will be contacted for additional shipping charges.
Cecilio’s instruments can only be sold within the USA.
It’s been a very long time since I last played the cello but husband encouraged me to pick it up again. So I decided to order my next cello from Fiddlershop. I’ve already purchased other items from them. I love this cello! It’s well made. Had a bit of trouble getting it to stay tuned but that’s par for the course with new stringed instruments. The box it was shipped in was a bit damaged so the bow was bent and damaged. I called the Fiddlershop’s customer service and they immediately shipped me a replacement bow. Very happy with their response.
I am very pleased with my cello purchase! From start to finish, the buying experience was positive. Your website is easy to use, your customer service representative was very helpful in answering my question, and the cello was shipped promptly and packaged carefully. The quality of the cello is amazing and I am extremely satisfied!
Lots of small scratches on front and back of the body, several small dimples and dents, poor finish overall on this cello right out of the box. There is a crack where the fingerboard meets the nut, this has become worst over the last few days, it likely will not be long before it separates. The sound is nice. However, I am worried that this cello will need to be replaced sooner than later. It is certainly not an instrument for the long-term. I would not recommend this cello to others.
Buying the cello was very simple and the cello arrived in perfect condition! Could not be more happy with my purchase! Great cello for the price.
Have had it for six months now. Play every day. Teacher was impressed at the value. HOWEVER, the fingerboard is not ebony (as they admit) but maple. Problem is that the black paint or dye comes off on your fingers and ultimately wears off leaving you a maple colored scruffy looking fingerboard. Doesn't affect the playing quality however. If doing it again I would buy the next model up with the ebony fingerboard.
