Mongolian horse hair for Violin or Viola - 1 hank of Select quality Mongolian horse hair (enough for one violin or viola bow)
White horse hair
White bow horse hair has good grip and a very smooth tone. The hair is expected to last 6-12 months if used daily.
Black horse hair
Black bow horse hair is stronger and grips better than white hair which will provide a louder and grittier tone. Black hair is also expected to last longer than white hair.
Excellent quality hair. All hairs are the same thickness and unbleached. They comb out well and the length is perfect.
Absolutely perfect !!!
Needed some hair to replace on a violin bow from a cheap kit that wasn't combed well, as you might have guessed the original hair ended up breaking more and faster the longer we tried to play with it, and we thought it would be a good choice to try re-hairing it ourselves, seeing as how the whole kit costed slightly more than what a luthier would charge for a re-hair. It worked out ok, after we made the tools we didn't already have onhand for it, practice makes perfect as they say. The quality of the hair seems to be very good and it combs well.
I highly recommend it. I very happy with it.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm using the hair for strings on medieval instruments and for that purpose it is working wonderfully! Thank you!
